Position Overview

Nedsdag’s Bargain Center is seeking dependable, customer-focused Delivery Drivers who take pride in delivering more than merchandise; they deliver exceptional customer experiences.

As a Delivery Driver, you will safely transport, deliver, assemble, and install furniture, mattresses, appliances, and other large merchandise into customers’ homes while providing professional, white-glove service. You will serve as one of the final touchpoints in the customer’s buying journey, ensuring every delivery reflects our commitment to quality, value, and customer satisfaction.

Our Delivery Drivers are ambassadors of the Nedsdag’s brand and are expected to represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company delivery trucks and vehicles.
  • Deliver furniture, mattresses, appliances, and large merchandise to customers.
  • Load and unload merchandise safely.
  • Inspect products before loading to ensure quality.
  • Assemble furniture and adjustable bed bases when required.
  • Install appliances when applicable and authorized.
  • Remove packaging materials from customer homes.
  • Provide white-glove delivery service.
  • Explain product features and basic operation.
  • Collect customer signatures and delivery confirmations.
  • Report delivery issues immediately.
  • Communicate arrival times with customers.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Keep delivery vehicles clean and organized.
  • Follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
  • Represent Nedsdag’s professionally in customers’ homes.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Review assigned delivery routes.
  • Inspect truck and equipment.
  • Load merchandise securely.
  • Verify customer orders.
  • Contact customers before arrival.
  • Deliver merchandise safely and professionally.
  • Assemble products when required.
  • Complete delivery documentation.
  • Report damages or shortages.
  • Return completed paperwork.
  • Assist warehouse staff as needed.

White-Glove Customer Service

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year delivery driving experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to safely operate box trucks or delivery vehicles.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift heavy merchandise.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to use GPS and delivery software.
  • Pass a background check.
  • Pass a drug screening.

Preferred

  • Furniture delivery experience.
  • Appliance delivery and installation experience.
  • DOT Medical Card (if applicable).
  • Appliance installation certification.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Moving company experience.
  • Commercial driving experience.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, physically demanding position.

Applicants must be able to:

  • Lift up to 100 pounds independently.
  • Lift over 300 pounds with team assistance and equipment.
  • Push and pull heavy merchandise.
  • Move appliances, mattresses, and furniture safely.
  • Climb stairs while carrying merchandise.
  • Frequently bend, squat, kneel, and reach.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Safely operate dollies, pallet jacks, appliance carts, and lifting equipment.

Delivery Helper Positions

As a Delivery Driver Assistant, you will work alongside our Delivery Drivers to load, unload, assemble, install, and position furniture, mattresses, appliances, and other large merchandise inside customers’ homes. You play a critical role in ensuring every delivery is completed safely while providing a premium, white-glove customer experience.

Helper Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift heavy merchandise safely.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays when needed.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Pass a background check.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening.
